THE FLEA THEATER PRESENTS
(Jim Simpson, Artistic Director – Carol Ostrow, Producing Director)
THE ANDHOW! THEATER COMPANY Production of
by ANDREW IRONS
Andhow! is pleased to announce that it will be in residence at the Flea Theater for the month of September 2008 with its latest production: Linus & Alora by Andrew Irons.
With nine months to go Linus and Alora dive into the creation of a world that suits them just right – trips to the night sky, imaginary children and brothers who can’t leave well enough alone, the Pips and a songstress on her deathbed. Linus enters with an imagination that won’t start and Alora with one that can’t stop. Together they embark on a journey into the mind’s eye in a race against time.
The cast for Linus & Alora is headed up by Andhow!'s associate artistic director and downtown mainstay, Arthur Aulisi as Linus and Melle Powers (Chappelle Show Regular, When Came Ye Scarlett O'Hanahan? NYIT Award Nominee) as Alora. The cast includes B.Brian Argotsinger, Tim Cain, Maria Cellario, Gamze Ceylan, Alex Smith, and Noah Trepanier.
The design team for Linus & Alora Dustin O'Neill (sets & video), Bessie Award winner Owen Hughes (lights); two-time Drama Desk nominee and Hewes award winner Jill B.C. DuBoff (sound) and Becky Lasky (costumes). Jesse Hawley (NTUSA) is the choreographer. Kelly Shaffer is the stage manager.
